Slash command
A command that starts with “/”, typed in the conversation with Claude, for example /clear or /init.
How it appears in the course
You may also have heard of “custom slash commands” (your own commands that start with /). They used to live in files in the .claude/commands/ folder. Now they’ve been merged with skills. The old commands still work, but the new format is the skill.
Slash commands are commands that start with /. You type them inside Claude, not in the regular terminal.
Where you learn it
