Commit
A save of the project in git, with a message that says what changed. Like a save in a game, which you can go back to at any time.
How it appears in the course
You work in four steps: first you look around (Explore), then you make a plan (Plan), then you write the code (Code), then you save (Commit).
The Explore → Plan → Code → Commit cycle (look around → make a plan → write the code → save) is the safest way of working.
Checkpoints don’t replace git. When something is working well, make a commit.
Where you learn it
